Music Hub - Peterborough

Peterborough city council Logos'The Power of Music to Change Lives'

Peterborough Music Hub and its partner organisations works with schools, arts, community and voluntary organisations to support and deliver music education provision for Peterborough.

The Peterborough Music Education Hub was established as a result of the first National Plan for Music Education (NPME) and is funded by the Department for Education, administered by Arts Council England. The organisation is dedicated to making an enjoyable and successful music education accessible to all young people, irrespective of their ability to pay. The Music Hub also seeks to lift the barriers that arise through language, educational, social or cultural issues.

Finish This... is the English National Opera's FREE music making programme for schools nationwide bringing a fusion of opera, film and animation into your classroom, as a creative springboard for collaborative composition work.

There are versions for Primary KS2, SEND, and Secondary KS3 learners, all co-created with teachers and learning consultants.
The programme is closely aligned with the national curriculum and develops students’ composition and performance skills, introducing them to opera and new cultural experiences, whilst promoting creativity, collaboration and self-expression.
